Trentoximal I.V. Ampoule

Each 5 ml ampoule contains: 100 mg Pentoxifylline

Indications:
Treatment of peripheral vascular disease.
Dosage:
Intravenous Injection: 5 mL slowly, the dose may be increased to 2 ampoules
Intravenous Infusion: One infusion of 100-600 mg in 100-500 mL of infusion fluid once or twice daily, infusion time at least 60 minutes per 100 mg.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Pentoxifylline, other methyl xanthenes or any of the excipients, cerebral hemorrhage, extensive retinal hemorrhage acute myocardial infarction and severe cardiac arrhythmias.
Precautions:
Used with caution as Transient hypotension may occurred.
When creatinine clearance is less than 30 ml/min, it may be necessary to reduce the daily dose. In patients with severely impaired liver function the dosage may need to be reduced.

Drug Interactions
Hypoglycemic agents: High doses of Pentoxifylline intensify the hypoglycemic action.
Anti-hypertensive agents: Pentoxifylline may potentiate their effect.
Ketorolac: Pentoxifylline increases the risk of bleeding by prolongation of Prothrombin time.

    Theophylline  Pentoxifylline increases Theophylline levels in some patients and intensifies adverse effects of Theophylline.
    Pregnancy  should not be given during pregnancy unless its use is essential.
    Lactation  Breast feeding is not recommended.

Side effects:
Gastrointestinal disturbances, Headache, Dizziness and Hypersensitivity reactions.

Pack of 10, 25, 50 of 5 ml Ampoules.
