Rogitamine I.M. & slowly I.V. Ampoules

Each 1 ml ampoule contains 10 mg Phentolamine Mesylate.

Indications:
Management of hypertension due to Phaeochromocytoma.
Diagnosis of Phaeochromocytoma.
Prevention of dermal necrosis and sloughing after extravasation of Norepinephrine.


Dosage:
Adult dose: 2 to 5 mg injected into a vein, dose can be repeated as necessary until a satisfactory
fall in blood pressure.

Children dose: 1 mg for a child over 8 years old.

Side effect:
Postural hypotension, Tachycardia, Dizziness, Flushing; Nausea and Vomiting, Diarrhea, Nasal Congestion; also, Angina, Chest Pain, Arrhythmias.

Drug interaction:
Antihypertensive agents, hypotensive effect was enhanced.
Pregnancy: caution as decrease in maternal blood pressure may result in fetal anoxia.
Lactation: Breast feeding is not recommended.

Packages:
Pack of 5, 10 Ampoules of 1 ml.
Stored 2 – 8 ºC, do not freeze.
